Product Designer

SourceScrub is growing and looking for an in-house Product Designer. Our Product Designer will work on evolving and improving how our customers interact with SourceScrub as well as helping design brand new features and products. This is a highly collaborative role working cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders, reporting to our Lead Product Designer.

We are open to either someone based out of our SF or NY offices or working remotely within the US with the ability to travel to San Francisco for onboarding and occasional travel throughout the year.

About you

You are detail-oriented and customer focused when it comes to designing new features and products our customers will use when interacting with SourceScrub. You are interested in empathizing with the user at every stage of Design so that what ultimately comes out the other end is maximally-positioned to help the end-user achieve their goals, solve their problems, and relieve their pain points.

As our Product Designer you will

  • Gain a deep understanding of our market, competition, user personas, pain points, goals/desired outcomes
  • Execute at every stage of the design lifecycle from ideation to delivery
  • Design elegant solutions to complex workflows, data analyses, and business goals/user requirements
  • Perform User Research--Interview customers, test/validate wireframes, and perform other Usability Tests on High-Fidelity mockups to understand preferences, get ahead of potential roadblocks, and maximize future engagement with the Product
  • Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders
  • Work closely with our global research, development, and design teams - this means you may have to occasionally take calls at non-standard hours as these teams are spread between the US, Ukraine, and the Philippines
  • Performing a full range of product design skills including: user experience design, visual design interaction design, product strategy, user research and prototyping
  • Be a Partner/Collaborator with Product Managers—They will own the definition of Business and User goals and you will own translating those into delightful and effective experiences with minimized friction.

To be successful, you should have

  • 3+ years of professional Product Design experience
  • A strong portfolio of relevant design work that conveys an ability to ship successful products people love
  • Experience with and affinity for highly complex product architectures
  • Experience working with design, visualization, and prototyping tools. Figma is best, but good with you have experience with a similar tool like Sketch, InVision, Adobe etc.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain the reasoning behind Design decisions
  • Experience working with PM and Engineering in a fast-moving environment
