Visual Designer
Job Description
We are seeking a Visual Designer to help define and elevate the TikTok brand worldwide. The role will include working with our design team to develop concepts and create assets for campaigns within the app as well as for advertising. This person should have a hip aesthetic as well as a positive, team-focused attitude.
About the Product(s)
TikTok (Previously Musical.ly) is a short form mobile video platform for self expression. Our mission is to capture an audience that loves authenticity, and has a desire to learn and/or become a creator on a global video platform. TikTok is a product under the Bytedance umbrella of apps along with Toutiao News, Douyin, Top Buzz, Vigo Video, and Lark. The company is headquartered in Beijing with offices around the world, and is driven to push innovation in the video, AR and social spaces.
What You’ll Get To Do
- Develop and create the style for our visual language
- Create digital and physical assets for marketing campaigns
- Align and iterate on the feel of the brand to always be current and fresh
- Brainstorm with other team members on collaborative projects
- Perform project updates, revisions, and maintenance as required
- Communicate with marketing team to ensure efficient and accurate implementation of designs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in design or related fields
- 1-3 years experience in a Visual Design role
- Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch or Figma
- Hip aesthetic, in touch with pop culture and trends
- Ability to work within brand guidelines, but also make suggestions on how to improve the current brand
- Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to self-manage time and output
- Must have a desire to learn or be apart of product design
