Graphic Design Manager

Status: Contractor 

Location: Atlanta, GA

OVERVIEW

The Graphic Design Manager will work alongside the Workplace brand team in Atlanta to design experiential, branded environments for The Coca-Cola headquarters and offices across the globe. 

Must be an innovative storyteller with a blend of strategic and creative thinking.  Proven ‘hands-on’ design execution skills and ability to translate ‘the story’ to meet business objectives of the built environment. Story telling through design is a critical aspect of this role and with access to our archives the opportunity to tell stories through design is endless.

As the Design Manager you are responsible for conceptualizing and designing creative elements for The Coca-Cola Company to create experiences and prepare final documentation and production-ready artwork for a variety of applications. Design intent should often times be crafted through a scalable lens. As a Design Manager you will mentor and support other designer(s).

You’re able to create diverse designs for a variety of internal partners while simultaneously collaborating across the organization. You will be responsible for the overall concept and execution of assigned projects, and be able to bring the brand to life with speed and conviction.

This role is about creating value for The Coca-Cola Company, by effectively using the power of Design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· CONCEPTING: Create working drawings, storyboards, layouts, mood boards, and mockups to evaluate and present ideas in initial project phases.

· DESIGN: Create outstanding designs to demonstrate concepts in support of strategies developed for assigned projects. Efficiently manage presentation documents, digital assets, print assets, and all other creative components on assigned projects. Strong knowledge of fundamental visual communication strategy and executional skills is key.

·PRESENTATION: Present research, concepts and designs with polished and professional visual tools and verbal skills. Must be confident to present in front of large groups and leadership.

·COMMUNICATION: Effectively communicate within the design process to ensure optimal performance within budget and adherence to all deadlines. Ability to educate cross-functional teams on needs, challenges and opportunities within the design space and is able to understand concerns and be able to pivot quickly to address feedback.

·STRATEGIC: Must be a strategic ‘big thinker,’ yet has the ability to craft the ‘design detail.’

·TEAM PLAYER: Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible and adaptable attitude and must be able to collaborate with a variety of key-stakeholders.

·INNOVATIVE: Current knowledge of industry trends and standards in the design field. Outside the box innovative thinking. Seek out inspiration and share insights with internal teams to help educate and inspire.

QUALIFICATIONS

·7+ years industry/agency experience in Design for environments, events, activations, marketing, advertising, or similar.

·Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, or similar discipline.

·Expertise in Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) is required. Basic knowledge of substrates + print techniques, print file prep, proofs, and print standards is ideal. Experience with Keynote and 3D technologies is a bonus.

·Articulate design solutions to team members and clients succinctly and effectively.

·Translate strategic vision into tangible project design deliverables.

·Embody a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-pace and dynamic workplace.

·Impeccable design fundamentals.

·Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into fun, easy to use, engaging experiences.

·A resourceful problem solver with a positive attitude.

·Highly organized, keen attention to detail.

·Must be self-motivated with an agile mindset.

·Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Spanish is a plus.
