About the Role:

The ideal candidate is a savvy Graphic Designer, fast learner, self-starter, and excellent communicator with a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it. The candidate must possess a blend of print, identity and digital design skills. From brainstorming through production; the Graphic Designer will be an instrumental part of the SLX dynamic. They must have a passion for design that is clear and concise as well as engaging and playful. The designer must also possess consistent attention to detail.

Job Summary: Shop Latinx is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team for ~20 hours per week on a rolling monthly basis.

  • This role is remote, but prefer availability to meetup for the occasional meeting/brainstorm in Portland. Designer must have their own equipment and software/programs.
  • This role will primarily be focused on social assets, email design, and web asset creation and report to the Art Director and Marketing Manager.


  • Design Emails
  • Create Instagram Posts and Stories
  • Collaborate closely with Founder/CEO
  • Design digital and print materials, including social assets across all platforms, email marketing, and web graphics.
  • Design and/or source assets quickly based on sketches, mood boards, and briefs under the direction of the senior members of the team.
  • Attend weekly internal meetings as well as taking ownership of projects as the designer becomes fully immersed marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product to ensure all design created meets brand standards.


  • 2+ years of design experience
  • Strong understanding of the Shop Latinx brand visuals + ethos
  • Expert skills in the Adobe Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Fluency in Figma
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates your graphic design thinking and core skills across a variety of categories including: typography, color, identity systems, print design, illustration, image manipulation, mock-ups, web, and devices
  • An ability to quickly grasp direction within the in-house work environment – must be very flexible and strong multi-tasker
  • Proven expertise working in a deadline-driven environment and meeting those deadlines
  • Beauty/fashion industry experience a major plus
  • Familiarity with Notion, Asana
  • Strong understanding of typography and brand identity
  • Experience in motion graphics a huge plus
  • Understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram
  • A positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and people skills.
  • A love for all things Latinx culture and media.
  • A wholehearted openness to feedback and direction.
  • Passion for visual communication is a must.
