Lead Graphic Designer

Shop Local Kentucky - Kentucky's Apparel Brand is seeking a lead graphic designer for apparel and marketing collateral design. Here's the deal. We have worked with quite a few designers over the years and we want someone that can bring an outsiders point of view to our brand. The graphics lead will be responsible for all facets of apparel production from ideation to final product. We have had multiple designers that simply 'follow our lead' and illustrate what we come up with. No more. We want a creative that will lead the charge and loves to see their vision come to life. A few things first though:

• Ya gotta have chops - Looking for a vector ninja, so you must have a great handle on all things Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Ya gotta have creativity and show it to us - Your portfolio is how you will introduce yourself to us. Let's see your best. 
• Ya gotta have passion - Design without passion for what you are doing is mundane. Been there. Done that. We want someone that is passionate about their position and excited to hop on board. 
• Ya gotta Illustrate - We have had designers that can hack their way through their jobs with a simple copy and paste. We need original ideas and the ability to be a multifaceted creative. You can paint? That's great - What else? You can design an email? Okay - What else? The ideal candidate is well rounded and will learn and understand our brand. 

Now to the details.

This is NOT an entry level position, so need not apply unless you are ready to impress us with what ya got in your bag. This position can work 100% remote. Yeah, that's right. You can stay at home and chill with your cat or dog all day while designing the things ya love. We gotta get to know you. This position will work on a contract basis for the first 30 days of employment! Why is that? Well, we've been burned and we aren't looking for the right person for right now, we are looking for the right person. We are more than 'Kentucky'. The Shop Local Kentucky brand catalog is expanding to include several new brands that will keep your design mind on more things than the Commonwealth.
