We're looking to add an experienced apparel and materials wizard to our amazing Product team. The right person will know how to improve product quality, cost, and speed to market on all products and have a great time doing it.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development process through approval of fabric, trim, packaging, and garments. This includes gathering initial test reports, ensuring quality meets company standards, and material costs align with target costs.
  • Oversee current product improvements and new product development recommending materials and construction techniques that meet design expectations and meet or exceed gross margin targets.
  • Facilitate counter sourcing development based on allocation strategy providing warehouse pulled garments, projections, target FOB, and initial BOM & tech pack.
  • Manages BOM creation and maintenance communicating seasonal BOMs and changes to factories.
  • Creates and maintains material library defining historical approved bulk materials and toolbox for future design use.
  • Partners with manufacturers to develop new materials, construction techniques, processes, and samples used to create innovative and technically superior products.
  • Tracks seasonal material submissions ensuring approvals correspond to calendar deadlines, understands, and can clearly communicate delays and potential downstream impacts to production delivery.
  • Responsible for initial costing negotiations by providing targets and gathering costs from product vendor.
  • Provide styling, fit and construction comments during development (in conjunction with Design & Technical designer).
  • Assists director in review of seasonal development calendar and publishes to cross-functional teams.

Must Haves:

  • Located in the Denver area or willing to relocate (relocation budget available).
  • A sense of humor and outside of the box product thinker. Solution oriented.
  • 7+ years experience managing and growing a brand in both product and fabric development.
  • Knowledge of fabric and garment costing.
  • Knowledge of fabric development from base cloth to yarn-dye, print, and solid execution.
  • Experience in product development from garment inception to production ready.
  • Experience in calendar management and trouble shooting off track products to prevent slide escalations.


Nice to Haves:

  • Product development both Men’s and Women’s categories.
  • Experience in Women’s underwear.
  • Experience participating in fittings.
