Hubstaff is a fast-growing startup in the time tracking and project management space that fully embraces remote work.

We are looking for a talented lead product designer to join our passionate team. In this role you will be have the highest level of input in the direction of our UI/UX for both upcoming and existing features. You’ll work closely with the founding team to shape vision/strategy and managing the product team’s projects to ensure they are meeting their goals and schedules.

You’ll be responsible for crafting modern and beautiful user experiences for our customers. The correct fit for this position will be able to take ownership of the product experience. You will be overseeing and in some cases directly leading projects. Ultimately the whole product design cycle through planning, design, user testing/feedback, and eventually hand-off and collaboration with the development team will be your responsibility. The correct person will have worked on product design in a team environment for 5+ years at one or more successful SaaS companies with web and mobile apps, take pride in their work, and have extreme attention to detail.

You will own the product team’s KPIs and be responsible for meeting the team’s goals each quarter. Closeness to customer is important to us. So you will be conducting calls with existing customers to solicit and better understand feedback they give us as well as with focus group users for testing new features we have prototyped.

This position will report directly to our CTO/co-founder and work closely with our other engineers. You’ll be able to work 100% remotely, and we are looking for someone that can grow with our products for years to come.

You’ll be a good fit if you:

- Have at least five years of experience building SaaS interfaces
- Have some experience leading a product design team

Product Design Requirements:
- UI design and wireframing (Balsamiq, Sketch, Photoshop, etc.)
- Interaction/UX design
- Responsive interface design
- Prototyping (Invision, etc.)
- Experience with web, desktop and mobile interfaces (Apple’s HIG, Material Design standards, etc.)
- Writing specifications and other types of documents
- Strong emphasis on processes, tools, and organization of assets

Bonus:
- Have at least three years of management experience as a product lead
