Essential Skills
- Strong experience with Adobe XD (or Figma, but we use XD)
- A stunning portfolio (this is the main thing we will look at)
- Solid organizational skills, you keep your files, components, prototypes and designs very organized
- Fluent English (our employees speak many languages, but at work we speak English)
- You love UX, and constantly think about how your designs will affect user happiness and success

The Role
We are a small, close team and want someone who is passionate about design, but also about being part of our team. We are all passionate about learning languages, and enjoy talking to each other on Slack. If you read this ad completely, please include the word 'rocket' in your application. We want someone who wants to join in with product discussions, and cares about the success of the product, so a proactive personality is a big bonus.
This is a full time requirement (approx. 8 hours per day, but we won’t count) for 1 designer. Please NO AGENCIES. We want someone who can commit to our team and focus exclusively on this. We are not looking for a freelancer who has multiple projects on at the same time.
Our Company
We're a language learning app that will completely change the way people learn languages. We're making a language learning app that is truly fun and addictive. It’s not simply “a gamified app”, it’s an actual game. A game that has been designed from the ground up to be the most effective language learning system that’s ever existed. Other apps can be effective but they often are particularly fun and tend to be very difficult to use consistently. Therefore, users of said apps rely on forcing themselves to use those kinds of apps. In contrast, our app inspires excitement, it acts as a platform for learners to make friends, is extremely fun, easy to use consistently and therefore makes one’s language learning journey so much more enjoyable.
