Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a creative designer with 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design and motion design who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment producing visual creative for a variety of clients spanning Democratic candidates to national organizations. Our ideal candidate is someone who is curious about the quickly changing best practices of digital creative and interested in growing a multifaceted approach to design and motion graphics.

This is a full-time remote position through November 2022 with the possibility of an extension based on mutual interest and business needs. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

As part of the Creative team, you will: 

  • Work directly with our dedicated team of designers, content strategists, and video editors to produce original content for Democratic and non-profit clients
  • Design animated and static digital ads, email graphics, social media ads and share graphics, rapid response creative, and more 
  • Make revisions to graphics incorporating client and team feedback
  • Produce innovative and effective design work in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate and collaborate with the team to come up with design strategy
  • Assist the Senior Designer in monitoring Junior Designers’ work quality and workload
  • Manage a variety of types of projects with minimal supervision
  • Make a direct impact on the elections across the country in 2022

We’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years of professional design and motion design experience
  • Highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects)
  • Creative, thoughtful, and curious about design and the digital political landscape
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks
  • Familiar with current design styles and trends and understands the importance of design principles of layout and typography
  • Interested in new and upcoming mediums and techniques
  • Receptive to feedback
  • Passionate and proud of their work
  • Top-notch project management skills — excellent organization, communication, flexibility and attention to detail
  • Flexible and resilient, able to meet deadlines and work around obstacles by creatively solving problems with work output and communicating clearly with the team 
  • Interest or experience in progressive politics is preferred

Relevant details:

  • Salary band: $57,000-$71,000

  • This position is based in our office in Washington, DC. Due to COVID-19, all employees have the option of remote work through at least January 2023.
