Position Type: This role is a contract position with the opportunity for a full-time hire. 

We’re looking for a UI/UX product designer to help us design and evolve our dark web security product, Mirkat. Mirkat exists to protect consumers from having their accounts hijacked and money stolen. In 2020, over 36 billion accounts were compromised, and that number has grown significantly in 2021. Mirkat is a startup with a unique distribution partnership that will allow it to quickly reach over a hundred million users. We have the distribution opportunity, but we need your help to design a great product that captures users’ attention and keeps them safe.

You’ll define the user experience and design the user interface — from the wireframes to the interactions to the final visuals and animations of the interface.

What you’ll do

• Define the user experience and design the user interface for the Mirkat mobile and desktop apps
• Work closely with the team to understand the product and feature needs that are represented through your designs
• Create prototypes, assets, and specs that enable developers to implement your designs
• Iterate on your designs based on user feedback and usage analytics
• Contribute ideas that influence product direction and features

What you’ll bring

• Experience with designing consumer mobile or desktop apps
• Ability to iterate on designs based on a data-driven user interaction feedback loop
• Expertise with user-centered design principles
• Ability to do rapid prototyping to communicate design concepts
• Deep knowledge of design tools, such as Figma, Photoshop, Sketch
