UX Designer [Ubisoft Connect]

Ubisoft Connect is the ecosystem of player services for Ubisoft games across all platforms. It aims at giving the best environment for all players to enjoy their games and connect with each other on any device.

As a User Experience Designer at Ubisoft Connect you’ll be improving the ease of use in our product and creating the best user experience by exploring varying and innovative approaches to solving issues encountered by users. You have a passion for identifying the needs of our users and from idea to implementation, you will have an important part in delivering a high-quality end result.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team where everyone is willing to expand their knowledge and are encouraged to continue learning new things. You will work closely with developers, our Games Lab, and UX Researchers. The team is characterized by enthusiasm, collaboration, and their love for gaming. We can offer you an innovative, fun environment with a friendly atmosphere and a lot of creative colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with your agile team and researchers.
  • Continuously optimize user experience, usability, and accessibility of the client by iterating your designs based on user research, quantitative data, and user test;
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes that lead to intuitive user experiences;
  • Facilitate product vision by researching, conceiving, prototyping, and user-testing experiences;
  • Closely collaborating with UI designers, developers, and product owners in your agile team;
  • Mentor less experienced employees and support the Design Lead with new initiatives.

Qualifications

You as a person

You have the ability to work autonomously within your field, whilst at the same time knowing the benefits of a multidisciplinary team. You’re able to work utilizing an innovative and iterative process that you can integrate into your workflows. You're used to presenting and communicating about your work and findings, which enables you to share your results. You're willing to take risks and have a problem-soöving attitude, always seeing the positive in any challenge, whilst at the same time remain open to feedback to adapt and growth.

Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:

  • Professional experience as a UX Designer on bigger projects working with multiple stakeholders
  • Provide a solid portfolio showcasing your UX skills and methodology
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
  • Proficient with industry-standard prototyping tools like Figma or similar
  • Experience of cross-platform experience for multiple platforms like web/mobile/console
  • Knowledge about Accessibility requirements (WCAG, CVAA)
