Atro's First UI Designer

Atro is building something special and we want you to be a part of it.

We're a small startup based in the Austin, TX area, but fully distributed. The team is in the early stages of proofing and building our product and are seeking talented designers who are familiar with early stage design and looking for early equity (plus great salary and benefits) and a great team to build around.

Our UI/UX is paramount to our product so we're putting a lot of thought and focus on early design. This is our first official design position so you would be crafting much of the design from concept and must carry the experience and capabilities that come along with such a role.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with the founding team to deliver an early MVP based on existing concepts
• Iterate quickly on user feedback and product feature discoveries
• Develop and articulate a broad strategy for the user experience and associated UI framework as a roadmap for the future of the product

Must have

• Thoughtful, creative, but decisive
• Curious and humble - always seeking constructive feedback
• Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Strong product intuition and vision, driven by a passion for tech, product design, and user empathy
• Relevant experiences across both UI and UX design
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Bias for practicality, pragmatism, and solutions - but also making stuff look beautiful and be functional
• High integrity
• 4-5+ years of design experience
