Senior UI/UX Designer

Position Summary

The Senior UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating designs that help facilitate the production of the user interfaces of Breeze systems. They must create user interfaces which will communicate the relevant information required in order to improve the total overall user experience. This person will work in close cooperation with the Lead UI/UX Designer as well as the entire Information Systems team and cross-departmental stakeholders.

Essential Functions

  • Collect and examine the needs of the user(s)
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Developers to ensure design aligns with business requirements and technical needs
  • Work with the design team to refine and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Plan and develop new visual designs for various devices, including desktop, mobile, and proprietary systems
  • Use sitemaps, process flowcharts, and storyboards for illustration and depiction of designs
  • Develop and design user interfaces elements including menus, widgets, tabs, etc.
  • Illustrate the functions of the various internal and external Breeze platforms and develop UI mockups and prototypes
  • Create tables, sketches, filters, images, and other graphic designs
  • Deliver designs which meet the quality expectations of a senior designer
  • Produce inspiring and innovative work aligned with the airline travel industry
  • Present your designs to the design team and all the stakeholders through clear and high-quality outputs
  • Review and edit the mockups according to stakeholder feedback
  • Continually conduct brand analysis and market research in line with the requirements set
  • Conduct user tests of developed applications to evaluate user experience
  • Ensure all creative files are layered and named correctly and components are structured correctly and logically
  • Identify bugs and recommend fixes/improvements
  • Contribute to new industry projects coming down the pipeline, like gate agent software, flight attendant apps, etc.
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence
  • Work collaboratively with Lead UI/UX designer on all deliverables and take on assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in graphic and multi-media design or a combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of solid UI/UX design experience
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and collaborate with other designers, artists, and developers to ensure delivery of the best possible User Experience
  • Ability to design UI flow and layout according to the needs of all stakeholders
  • Expertise in design software such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Self-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success
  • Take projects and run with them, delivering on time with minimal supervision, and ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines
  • Incredible Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design abilities
  • Meticulous in UI design with ability to produce pixel-perfect designs and development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and how to design within development restrictions
