Graphic Designer

The Marketing Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Graphic Designer in the Washington, DC office. The Graphic Designer assists the Graphics Team implement the firm’s brand across multiple platforms that reach a broad range of audiences. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for supporting the marketing team in design and production efforts for all print, digital, and video communications, business development pitches and presentations, client reporting resources, social media graphics, and event communications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing, developing and updating the firm’s branded marketing materials and client-facing communications and ensuring that all visual elements consistently align to the firm brand standards.
  • Supporting marketing efforts with the development of digital and print creative deliverables.
  • Assisting in maintaining a library of advertising, collateral and graphic assets, including within the firm’s Foundation database.
  • Working with outside vendors to plan and troubleshoot projects and files as needed.
  • Staying up to date on the latest design trends and relevant creative software and applications.

Qualifications: 

  •  A minimum of three years of graphic design experience in a professional work environment, ideally in a professional services or law firm setting.
  • Degree in graphic design or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, HTML/animation/video editing skills.
  • A thorough understanding of consistent production from online to print and vice-versa.
  • An eye for quality and readability in online graphics and communications.
  • Ability to take creative direction while managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to client service.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, including the ability to work independently, to take a leading role on assigned projects, and to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy of work product, and meeting deadlines.
