    @Harry Harrison Appreciate the feedback! The sun flare was a stylistic choice. The changing light plays a big part in the overall look and feel of the game, so it was important to add a little drama to the sun and moon as they emerge and travel across the sky :)

    As for the shadows - they're actually generated by projecting geometry onto the terrain surface, meaning I've had to be very selective about how I use them. You'll notice the tall trees also don't cast shadows (as much as I wanted them to). A lot of stylistic decisions were informed by the need to optimise for mobile and how best to play to the strengths of the platform - but overall I feel it's led to a much stronger identity than I might have arrived at otherwise.
