Another shot from my portfolio design, but I strongly believe it will be a final one.
When do you release it?? I can't wait!!
Hard to say without seeing the alternative in action, though the crosshatch background looks great! I've been impressed with all the shots of your portfolio, looking forward to seeing the live product.
@ Joachim, I am finalising the design, and keep working on minor tweaks when suggested, other than that, it will depend on the total time the coding guy takes. Planning on getting it done in wordpress.
Really nice Umar, I like it a lot.
I think I would just have made the switch a circle, though. :-)
I must say I do like the current background!
thanks for the comments guys, here's the preview with the other BG http://cl.ly/4002 lemme know what you guys think :)
i rather this one Umar, really nice! keep the good work.
i like this dude, very cool ;D
Dude, that slider kicks some serious ass.
Both of the textures are great but I actually like the one you're using for your twitter background a bit better given the UI elements I've seen thus far.
This is slick, I'm digging this one :)
Thank you guys :) I am finally (well to be exact after a year) am happy with what I have for my portfolio ^^ I didn't do any hurry and might have possibly designed over 100 website designs for myself ^^ covering over a HDD space of 3GB :P looking to dump some of the designs and keeping the rest for future reference :)
Awesome, from your first draft to this! I am feeling this one ;)
Ahh that was a total minimal approach, was really liking that one, but with time started to get bored with it, also that didn't suite my major work field, UI ;)
You really need to just pick one haha!
yeah and I am going with this one, I ain't even considering the other one XP
Just think about how much you learned from those 100 iterations! It's amazing how much better you get by just sitting in photoshop and trying things.
Yes Matt, every new thing I learned led me to another design, and every time something new cracked my head and off begins the journey to a new design =P
Looks very nice :) you can remove the texture from the blue frame to see if it looks better. Also try containing those thumbnails in white frame.
Love the colors and feel of this.
love that little sliding button :)
Love this, such a vibrant feel to it!
live the blue noisy background!
really good looking job i'd tone down the noise on the blue part a bit but that's just personal choice.
@Juan, I am working on it, since that brighter blue portion is just on the top of the body, so the bottom portions have less blue making the noise barely visible.
@Yummygum, I didn't intend to show the icons now :P but I forgot about that while posting the shot, so yeah, I am using the pretty IconSweet2 icons ^^
@Asher, here, this is the shot without noise (removed objects to avoid more exposure to the content as of now :P) http://cl.ly/40o3 and this is with noise http://cl.ly/414s and to be honest Asher, I like it this way as well :D I mean without noise :) lets do a toss bwuhahahaha, j.k.
Thanks all :)
