A quick weekend upload of what I plan to do with my site, mainly trying to figure out structure and form at the moment. The sub heading will scroll through social links, the UI & UX section will interchange through different disciplines. Mainly trying to keep it as clean and simple as possible.
Would love some early feedback, check out the real pixels.
Wow. Nice. I was expecting you to be older than 23 for how good you are. I know it is probably a stylistic choice to make your name lowercase, but my first thought was that it should be capitalized. The other thing is where you say "so if these are things you have I'd love to have a chat." I would replace "these are things" with something more specific like "so if you have a cool product for me to work on, I'd love to chat." Or "I'd much rather be working on a cool product for an interesting person, so if that person is you I'd love to chat." Then link "chat" to your email/contact form. Also I'd needs to be capitalized. Maybe put your logo above your name, too. As far as design, organization, and simplicity it's awesome though.
@Sean Tremaine thanks very much mate appreciate the feedback. The copy was literally written in a minute to fill the space instead of Lorem, I'll defiantly take note when I get to writing it properly. The lower case is 100% stylistic in the header, I like the form and subtlety it brings to the overall tone – just my personal preference.
@Bill S Kenney I definitely see what your saying (although I wish it was of such an awesome calibre) I'm getting a lot of inspiration from @Charlie Waite and you guys at focus lab as well as guys like Rovane Durso, Alex Penny, Victor Erixon etc. Theres a hell of a lot of awesome clean work floating around at the moment. I've only had a brief afternoon on this so like any projects it will develop into itself with the proper amount of time.
Sweet job man. Some of this 'flat' style stuff coming out lately is too flat but you get the right balance. (You're obviously better than me, haha. 23 here too). Just one thing, you spelt 'embrace' with an s :)
Nice and clean approach Chris.
Not sure how much leading you used for your 'about text'. But I would try to give it a bit more leading to improve readability.
Love some of the illustrations you did there. Fix the spelling for 'embrase' (replace s with c), add some line height to your intro, and you have got my vote :)
