I wanted to get some feedback from my followers on this logo I have been working on. It is a for a Bed Bug product line.

    1. Do you think the logo is calming and subtle?
    2. Is it obvious at first that it is bed bugs in the logo?
    3. What do you think of the colours?
    4. Any other comments or suggestions?

    Thanks Dribbblers!

I can't believe 16 people have viewed my artwork so far and not one person has commented yet!? I thought that was what Dribbble was for!?

@Shaun Green I'm not sure that everyone knows how bed bugs looks like :)
And especially in pattern form. In small preview it looks like lace and i like it.
Try to use product or company name to tie it up.

@Shaun Green letter spacing in "sleep" is definitely too big.
and all words seem to be separated from each other and from the logo.
I think you should use more lightweight font.
And set up priorities - for now "diy" is screaming for attention because of its contrast.

A bit more info on the product would be good because I'm a little confused about the product. To answer your questions:

1: Yes, but I'm wondering why I would want to be calming and subtle about anything relating to bed bugs. I want to nuke the bastards out of my bed.

2: No. Not without being told they're bed bugs.

3: Calming, yes, also friendly and feminine.

4: The product is for something to do with bed bugs. I'm going to assume it's to kill bed bugs. The friendly, calming, subtle tone makes me a bit confused because that's not what I want from a product that kills bed bugs. Even if it were a natural or low-irritant or non-toxic-to-humans product which is what I would hazard a guess and say the product is.
The attachement that you linked to 2 comments above is confusing to me as well. The brand is 'diy'. When I read this I immediately though it was the acronym 'do it yourself' which I don't think the name is going is supposed to be. The product name is probably nothing to do with you though.

Agree with @anon wuttowsky about the spacing of the word 'sleep'. Not sure why this word needs that emphasis on it and 'tight' doesn't.

Overall, the logo and word mark has a fun, friendly feel to it. It wouldn't be what I would look for in a product that kills bed bugs. It would be what I would look for in a product that is positive to bed bugs in some way.
