My Process

    I've been asked a couple of times by folks what methods/tools I use for my type stuff. So I've made a rough little video and put it up on my blog to help anyone out that wants to know more about my process.

    Also, I thought I'd throw in a free download; it's my texture psd that I always use to add a bit of grit to my images. I thought it could come in handy for people wanting a bit of subtle texture. You can download that from my site:

    Feel free to drop me a line to let me know how you've used the texture - or anything you've learnt from or want to ask about my process! My email is:

    Look me up on Instagram or Twitter to see more type & photos and updates on free downloads or videos:

    Peace!

    Dave.

    @Werner Diedericks - thanks bro - so do you! I really like Fearless & Vigorous, quality work.

    @Glen Thorpe - My pleasure :)

    @Lukas Altmann - So glad you found it interesting!

    @Nesha - not at all - I hope to see you make beautiful things underneath that texture :)

    @Nick Winters - Stoked that you watched!

    @Simon H. - You're rad. Thanks for sharing it dude.

    @Kyle Gallant - Thanks Kyle!

    @Kevin Hamil - Cheers man!

    @Jamal Moghrabi - Oh really? All the best with the course! I'm overjoyed at the thought of the video helping. Let me know if there's ever anything you want to ask/know. Always happy to help.

    @JP Brown - oh thanks so much :)

    @Justin Tran - Glad you liked it, cheers dude - and thanks for catching that question for me! P.S. how good is YL.

    @Dustin Borowski - Thaaaaanks.

    @Kyle Decker - Cheers buddy - from memory at the time I just started with a mechanical lead pencil for the scripty sketches, then it was a new pen I've been trying - an Artline Calligraphy Pen (3.0) for the thinner black lines, and then a Copic Sketch (running low on ink) for the final 'PROCESS'.

    @Mpumelelo Macu - Ta!

    @Adam Rossi - Honestly my pleasure. Just glad it helps folks.

    @Kostandinos - Thanks for watching it :) See a couple of comments above for my tools ^

    My first attempt at hand-drawn type. I'm still not happy with it but I'll keep practicing and post more.
