    IMO the main part is great, styled without being overdone. The red bar at the top is just too plain and looks foreign to the design, and so is the bar at the bottom. I don't think you need a gradient there, I'd just try it flat, less saturated, but (subtly) textured the same texture as the central part, and drop a groove between them.
