From the archives, this is an older logo concept for Mentor DNA, a personal protege/mentoring and accountability system. This superfly concept was packed with many subtle meanings and they should have went with this fo shizzle, but they didn't and allow me to elaborate:
- Subtle human form inferring mentor on top and the protégée in it's reflection below.
- The torso of the human form is an "M" letterform and the resulting negative space forms two converging arrows inferring the interaction.
- The hexagonal shapes infer molecular structures and a subtle DNA helix.
See? Packed with all kinds of crap. For real.

Haha, loved your description. I really like mark on this one, that stroke weight is so perfect. It really lets the design feel light and minimal, balancing out the (comparatively) more complex line shapes.

Nice logo! I like the thinking process it's built on. I would just round the corners a bit on the mark since the type has rounded corners on A,N,E (if there is any reason to improve it, ... it's a shame that it's unused).
