   I'm a big fan of variable stroke weights, but I don't think that's really your style.

   Overall, the concept is solid. Perhaps consider darkening the water (to emphasize the light coming through the hole)?

   Yo - This is all really nice and all but it doesn't look 'cold out' / are they in a shack? I think maybe a cool night outdoor scene would be sweet. I think if it was an outdoor shot maybe make the ice a little jagged? Also, I like Anton's idea of the water maybe a little darker and make some cool little particles showing throughout in the water.
