I finished up the website of our local dog school and launched it today. It previously looked like this (warning: watch your eyes!): http://cl.ickon.it/NV92/o so it was time for a new look and approach.
A little bit of context: there are two sorts of reasons why people come to a website like this:
1. You're already a dog school member and you need something (hours of lessons, photoalbums)
2. You're looking for a dog school and you want to know more about the club.
(or 3. You saw it on dribbble)
I tried to find the right balance between these two without overdoing the information part (in text). Instead I used the slider on top to represent the atmosphere of the dog school.
Enough talking, go see it live.

AH! Well I'd say you did a really great job! I like the subtle nav animations.
@Underbelly (via Anthony Lagoon) Thanks a lot!
It was better previously! ;-)
Nice work Kim!
@Christophe Hermann :) Thanks!
Nice to see somebody with so much love for her profession to put time and effort into a website that most designers would just do as a quickly lets-get-this-over-with kinda job. Love the timeline thingamajig.
Well done @Kim Wouters!
Looks really nice and clean! I was wondering, what kind of calendar did you use? I need something similar :) I hope it is a plug-in or some sort ;-)
@Simon van Acht Hi Simon, it is. The plugin is called The Events Calendar. I found a lot of glitches in it, but for now it does its job. :) Thanks!
Turned out great! Good photography.
