My close friend David Barnhardt does electronic music under the alias 'Winterlisch' and asked me to help him out with a brand.
When David and I have had some of the best times we've been in his hometown of Muskegon cruising the lakeside dunes enjoying the Great Lakes. Shipping container and cargo typography definitely played an integral influence in this mark. David's always fiddling and restoring electronic instruments for his music. He works hard. Just like the shipworkers do to keep their midwestern fleets afloat. It was fun to imagine him and all of his synthesizers like a fleet of ships so I channeled that into the lettering and landed here.
