I'm interested in how you created the radial gradient this way. i know some tutorials how to do this, but not repeating in a spiral. did you split the spiral into several parts? a screenshot would be very interesting :)
concerning sharp edges there's a work-around: copy into photoshop and export it there to a JPG. Illustrator still has its borders...
indeed! I used it a lot in Freehand MX, but when I learned Illustrator I somehow forgot that option and rarely used it - mostly switched to gradient meshes, but there are a lot more fields of use for blends. I should definitely keep it in my head! thanks for your answers!
