Today we rolled out version 2.0 of Telly iOS app.

Besides the icon, we made many improvements on the interface design (especially video flow) and we rolled out new features. You can read about it here

The icon is not by me btw. I just made a mashup of Michael Flarup and Kubilay Sapayer that both worked on a different version of the icon.

PS: In case you want to check both icons, made by those two awesome designers:

How the fuck do you create those reflections? Are they photos? If not I'll shot myself.

I never liked Telly's icons. Don't get me wrong, they always looked great, but I feel like these icons tell a different story than the UI.

@Atakan Seckin Thx for the feedback. Honestly, more than the UI I tried to keep the brand in it. And say to the user what he should be expecting. Latelly I've been trying to lead telly to a clean and minimal state, which focused my icon research to something with a white frame and a tv screen. The rest kinda flew together. I would agree that the interface is different than the icon, but I would also say there's definitelly a telly feeling all along the product line (icons, iOS, web and android ui)

Love these pixels Bro, the interfaces are awesome. But not really fan of the green (bottom right part) color about the icon.

@Alexandre Naud My original choice was only blue (like Michael did it). But we ran a small user test and the gradient one was the winner.

Looks amazing. Only thing that looks off to me is how the speech bubbles in chat sit too far below the avatar. It looks like they're not being spoken by the avatars (to me anyway).
