Just found out this illustration for next month's Wired won't run. The entire article was scrapped.
I'm a bit sad about it, but there's always next time!

It's still awesome! You rock (get it?) Again, great work!
need...more...walllpapers! looks great!
That's really cool! Shame it won't run this time
Love the colors man. Good work and yes, there is always next time.
Their loss - awesome work as always. That debris "tail" coming off the asteroid is cool.
Aww dayum—that sucks!
I'm in love with the craters!
Looks great, should be a wallpaper.... really!
I didn't think a human was capable of drawing a black hole.
Awesome work, would've loved to see it in Wired.
Woah, this is incredible
Love space. Love this.
Thanks a lot, guys!
it's really great, man. Nice work.
Bye bye asteroid. Dang the article (and with it your great work) was scrapped.
I like this idea, but I think the space background could be darker, I know you don't want to detract from the black hole being very black, but It might be more space like if it was darker

@Andrew Lazarus Well, it still had to be printable to show up in the magazine. So, it can't be much darker. But thanks!
@Timothy J. Reynolds It might be the highlights more than the already dark bits that i'm thinking of. It's a shame this one didn't go to print though
pretty damn epic! Great to see you take your style to bigger pieces like this.
