The current way you handle navigation works fine for me. Everything you need is already displayed without having to tap a button. I'd be interested to hear the rationale behind this change!
@Kevin Clark The current system isn't ideal, in that you can tap to expand the drop down menu, but there's no way to hide it (since each top level item is also a link). The hamburger will show every link expanded with one tap. We think it'll be a much better experience.
