Most of the free time I end up having lately has been spend on plans for our dream home. We won't be building in the near future but it's been a blast breaking out of traditional graphic design and thinking about creating something that will outlive me. Hugely inspired by Tom Kundig, Matthew Trzebiatowski, Japanese gardens and Scandinavian interior design.

    Process blog coming soon.

Might want to check your anti-aliasing, getting some rough/fuzzy edges.

@Timothy J. Reynolds right. I'm just focusing on form for now. Basic Vray settings. The HDRI + sunlight + other settings was quadrupling my render time.

@Brad McNally if only the dirt in Magnolia wasn't worth more than what we intend to spend on this entire house + land :) Given the elevation, we were looking at Madrona/Leschi

Looks amazing! Question: how do you get to the books in the living room - is there a ledge I am not seeing? Does that catwalk move? That would be pretty wicked.

Keep going! One of the most challenging things I've ever done was to design and build my house—totally worth it.
