Dawn

Working on a new version of my home page, this time with an animated sky background. Here's a capture of the transition between night, dawn and today's gray skies.

How it works: A camera periodically takes photos of the sky from my apartment window, and uploads them to a server. There a script pulls out the average color from the top and bottom of the image and saves it to a database. When someone visits my website the most recent colors will be retrieved and played back as a background using CSS gradients.
