I've been helping out with the design for the new Mixture.io desktop app. The Mac and PC versions will be out in public beta very soon. You can follow Mixture progress and updates on Twitter.

I used the branding and look & feel already put in place by the very awesome Mr Mike Kus, who also gave overall art direction.

The app includes lots of subtle animations and interactions that the developers of Mixture Neil Kinnish and Pete Nelson have done a great job on.

If like me you are a designer and front-end dev, you should definitely give Mixture a try, it's an amazing tool for rapid prototyping with loads of cool features.

Nice work! Does it work from the menu bar at all?

Looking forward to having a play.

thanks @Ted Goas yeah it's a really cool idea, perfect for designers / front-end devs like me. It uses liquid tags so you can do dynamic stuff without the need for an environment like mamp or setting up ruby etc. Also, does live browser refresh, gives you a place to push online and tons more. I don't want to sound like a salesman, but it is seriously cool. :)

    Is it better than fire.app?

@Jamie Martin Yes, but I would say that. :)

Check out all the features here: http://mixture.io/ - new home page coming soon.

They seem extremely similar, was just wondering if it had anything extra special besides the nice interface

@Jamie Martin The main difference being it's a native app, but it has lots of other cool benefits, multiple device testing as one example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER-la4wunyo
    :)

You can do that with fire.app, which is also a native app? I guess I'll just sign up and wait and see. :)

    Great designs though
