Looks good man. I really like the shading/shadows on the tentacles. I'm liking the texture too. One thing though, the area where the tentacles fade into the body seems a bit too faded out. The tentacles almost look detached. I totally see the perspective you were going for but the way it's illustrated makes me second guess the correct perspective.
Anyway, keep it up bud. I can't wait to see the rest of it.

@Alex Sailer Thanks for the feedback, buddy. I'm definitely still experimenting with the shading, as this guy will inform the overall piece. I totally get that the connecting bit reads as a bit too dark. Definitely a work in progress.
