I like where this is going. something to watch for is stroke overlap which is kinda happening on the -$ frame where the navy blue goes on top of the white stroke of the red circle.
It's unfortunate that much of cfpb's iconography is far too simple, but it's a good way to bump up the details when they increase in size and visual presence. I feel like the circle is intended to be a coin (in the simpler icon I drew from) and need to find a way of keeping simplicity while making that more apparent.
I really like these! Simple and graphic. Part of me almost wants to see them with slightly thicker strokes, I think in part to bump up the weight of the 'ropes' holding the scales. There's something really striking about consistently weighted strokes in iconography. (Tim Boelaars is a good example.)
