Created a quick tool for generating placeholder avatars. Copy one, or move the sliders to ajust to the size / shape of your avatar grid and screenshot them in.
Happy to put anyones face there with link to their Twitter, just let me know.
Some feedback (since that's what Dribbble is for, right?):
1. Add a slider for adjusting the containing area along with the rest.
2. Add a one-line explanation of the tool to either the sidebar (below the sliders), something along the lines of "Avatar grids for your social site mockups.".
3. Add a reminder about how to take a screenshot below the tool itself:
"Use ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + 4 to take a screenshot" …or even…
"⌘ + ⇧ + 4 = Screenshot".
This would optimally change based on which OS the user is on. (Do Windows or Linux have standard selected-area screenshot keycommands?)
4. If Twitter or Facebook's rate limiting allows for it, allow people connect their account(s) and to pull their friends' avatars from either of those sites.

@Kurt Madsen Great advice :-), #4 would be sweet, but total project took four hours, so that might be longer
