Maybe consider curving the deleted area of the stroke "behind" the circle? And making both gaps equidistant?
I don't know, but I think I may have liked the previous, simpler version better. But the 'a' reads better on this one... hm.
Also, as I was sketching, I realized you're awfully close to a yin yang. Is that intentional?
Thanks for the suggestions I'll definitely have to tweak the descending stroke for consistency.
Yea creating that gap brought the "a" out a bit more I thought. Maybe I should do something in between this and the older version...
As for the similarity to the ying yang, it was not intentional, but now that I look at it they're quite similar haha.
