Spent an hour to finish this guy up this morning. Its supposed to represent data turning into a document in a somewhat abstract way. Looks kind of like morse code :P
Appreciate the feedback everyone gave on the initial concept!
For whatever reason the dots make me thing of Morse Code or Braille, not necessarily data. At smaller sizes, I would associate it more with a shredder and delete command than anything else. I don't know how I would approach it really, haven't thought it through yet. Good job though, pixels are flawless.
I think it looks really solid. What if the data turning into a document went from left to right, rather than bottom to top. Left to right orientation kinda has a transfer feel. It's just a thought.
@Patrick Rogan – Right. Yeah, I've approached it in a number of different ways. I think if more detail was allowed it would translate better but I'm restricted to a very simple shape due to its scalability needs. In any case, thanks for the kind words. Appreciate it.
@Jacob Cummings – Thanks yo. Yeah, I think having the data move vertically makes more sense conceptually but it translates into looking like shredded paper even more so than the horizontal format. I think I might have to cut my losses on this concept haha. Oh well, it was fun to explore at least :D
