Ongoing side project where I redesign all of my favorite record labels in a retro style. Taking lots of Inspiration from the Batman Animated Series.

Love the shade from the smoke! this whole thing is awesome!
Freaking great stuff
Not too sure about messing with Saville's Factory logo, but cool texture
Yeah @Stephan Rosger , I totally hear you. Saville is probably my favorite designer. I felt weird trying to mess with it but it makes a great edition to the project.
I like this style.
I like this style very much too! There are surely a lot of people out there – including me – who probably wonder how you did that cool grainy look. You wrote something about noise brushes. Would you reveal your secret and tell us which ones or maybe explain a bit about the process of making it? That would be very very nice from you. I guess that you are working at a very low size (dimensions), right?
Hey @Florian Grunt , no problem. I've been using a bunch of brushes from here http://speckyboy.com/2012/02/20/20-subtle-and-soft-textured-photoshop-brush-packs-225-brushes/
Mainly, HR Subtle Grain and Noise Effects by Sebastiano Guerriero over here http://dribbble.com/shots/348828-Noise-effects-PS-brushes-attached?list=users
I've been actually working at a higher resolution. I mostly spend my time layering up the different colored noise layers to create gradients. For shadows, I just keep building noise layers to make it really dark and dense.
thanks very much for sharing this, ben! I really appreciate it. i'll experiment a little with 'em and we'll see what comes out :)
and I'm excited about youd next shot! keep on! :)
