Hey all. I am curious what type of game genre you would guess if you saw this icon without accompanying text. Trying to figure out if it's working or not. Few examples of game genres are kids games, simulation, mmo, first person shooter etc.

A pirate game?
I agree with Savy. I see a treasure map.
@Savy Bergeron @Alaina Johnson It is supposed to be a map of sorts but not a treasure map. I need to make an icon for "Strategy" games.
My idea is to show a shorter but more difficult route vs a safer but longer route. The thinking behind that is that you are strategically picking your route. Any ideas on how to improve upon that concept? Co-worker suggested just showing point a and point b but one route is zig-zaggy and the other is curvy. She also recommended leaving out all the other junk (fire, mountains and trees)
Would it be possible to use already recognized symbols in your design? Maybe the easy trail is spaced with dots and the difficult trail is spaced with double black diamonds. I agree though, the other elements are distracting, from what your trying to convey. They look really fun though!
@Savy Bergeron not a bad idea going the with the dots vs diamond route! I don't know if that applies outside of snowboarding or not but it's worth exploring. Thanks for the feedback :D
