We just launched our new site and this is the homepage slider.
Bored with most sliders, I wanted something a bit different. Separate images/text animate in at different times & positions, via Jquery Transit & Easings. While the other slides all promote portfolio items, the first serves as an eye catching intro. I've spent way too much time playing with subtle variations.
Oh yeah, it's also fully responsive - with swipe transitions and a pretty decent load time.
One thing I could use some input on is making the swipe transition capability clear to the user. For a slider like this, I've yet to figure out a good, minimal, well integrated solution. Best I can come up with is some type of simple graphic that displays with the loading gif (which is a little heart beat).
But, it's loading pretty quick now, and it might be missed. Open to ideas.
