That feels more balanced to me, that's just my opinion! Out of curiosity, where did the colors come from? We're those given to you? Again, I can't overstate how much better I like the clean and classic look of your version!!!
yeah i am totes a big fan of the simplicity - they call me Captain Simplicity all the time (well that's not true - no one does that, but it would be nice if they did!)
This seems like a nice standard color pallette, a lot of projects i've worked on recently (and did audits of) had this palette.
What i would do next with this one - before sending it to the client - is to cut it up and move around the elements a bit, just to see if there are some alternate layouts. This is a cool column look, maybe try a row look, maybe have the diamond to the left? or even (in a row) have Newcastle .. DIAMOND .. CoC? These might suck but i always try and do all the easy alternates to make sure i am not missing out on some GOLD!
Keep up the work buddy! (and listen to @Virginia Poltrack - she's the smmmmmmartest egg in the carton)
@chris walsh I dunno about THAT but thanks ;) sound advice my dear - I agree with the moving around to make sure nothing is overlooked. Kyle always does really solid work, and I have a feeling they will be really pleased with this. Also - this is really going to translate well across tons of mediums, which is always important. So nice work on that, too Kyle.
@Virginia Poltrack i agree! I really think this treatment and the other N (in the diamond) could really stand alone and content for various social media sites. :)
@chris walsh & @Virginia Poltrack Thanks so much you two! Really loving the comments here. I got some rest and have a fresh eye so I'm going to look at it again before I send off to my client for review.
I like this one better, unlike the one with the integrated N in the diamond, this one has a more refined look, which is what this kind of enterprise is looking for, what I would do just to see how it goes, is try to give a little depth to the diamond shape, it may make it look even more refined...

I closed the spacing and gave this concept some color. More critiques welcome!
