A little mockup of an idea I had for single-input app switching mechanism.
The concept is to allow for instantaneous app switching, via a simple swipe up from the bottom (splitting the screen). Without lifting your finger/thumb, you swipe to one of your recently used apps, release, and jump into it in one swoop.
Just an idea I had to get out of my system tonight, will try to make a video later!

Very cool idea, love it.
Could be challenging to use, but it is very innovative and beautiful. Great idea.
Very nice idea!
Maybe it's a bit better if the current App slides at the sides out and you zoom directly into the App which you want to re-open.
Clever idea! I'd be happy if iPhone just let me do a 4-finger swipe like I can on iPad, but there are probably good reasons why that doesn't work.
Dude, this is sick! How do you build the animation?
I need this
Continued playing around with how to tackle a one swipe app switching mechanism, and here is another take.
Similar to the first experimental concept, you swipe (from the left edge) to split the screen and reveal the app icons. Continuing to slide your thumb/finder without releasing, you hover over the app you want to jump to, and release.
