Finally found a path I want to follow with this project. Reverted to some old ideas. Still working on the colors, but for now I am happy :)
Also, I am not sure if I will keep everything flat or if I should risk having a few elements that are slightly bevelled (like buttons, will experiment later).
Big view attached. Real pixels and other wip soon.
@Chris Johnson Heh, cool :) Although this project is several years old, not much I can do. The filters do change now and then, depending on where I have them :)
I am not on the iphone path yet, so nice to see your shot. Are you planning to develop your iphone app?
It was just odd seeing the same filters, same order, and the "FAV'D" is not something you ever see. Especially after I saw the previous version of this screen and your initial uploads to Dribble of this app.

I created my design really quick to show off the idea I had for other comic lovers. I'm almost finished with my documentation, afterwards I'll begin my wireframing and layouts. I fully intend to develop the application and have already solved several hurdles in dealing with data gathering.
After I posted my shot I took a look on here to see if there were any similar, and that's when I came across yours and saw the recent upload with the new filters.
I'm all for healthy competition. Keep me on my toes. :)
I do like the shot I linked in this comment, aside from the filters I mentioned. I'm not a fan of this layout. It is most certainly limiting in a lot of areas, and the possibility of expansion for this layout is non-existent. If this is a personal webapp, then go for what makes you happy. But with the user research I've done so far, I can safely say this layout won't work for a larger user-base.
Nice work man! I've been seeing more people display their websites like this.....where is this coming from. I love it just wondering what the purpose is or where its coming from. Keep up the great stuff.

@Kenneth Jensen Dare I ask why? The use of mock-ups :) Hopefully you might enjoy the second attachment :) http://dribbble.com/shots/937021-Main-app-layout-wip/attachments/104899

Thank you for the attachments, much better! The typo looks all warped, and it's a shame when the design works really well presented normally :)
