No that's a really good suggestion. I actually used to have the magnifying glass flipped horizontally to get the same mirror affect and also make them both pointing towards the signup form... I also personally think magnifying glasses should be depicted as holdable in the right hand.
But then I switched to using Linecons as an icon font and I couldn't be bothered to edit the font file.

Would applying transform: rotateY(180deg) be an easier solution? Had to set the icon to display: inline-block to get it to work.
