DoF looks great, modelling is pretty good, I feel like the metal texture is a little lacking [no distortion on the reflection from bumps, no scuffs]. You might also try a stronger, warmer lightsource [right now the soft, muted shading suggests a cloudy day, but there are definitely candles in the reflection that would be casting sharp shadows and bright highlights]
You also might try some polish [a bit of reflection, with some texture to it] on the wood, unless you're going for "newly cut" rather than "polished table"
Also, that seems a bit heavy for a cross, assuming that's solid metal. I think it'd feel more realistic if it was like .5cm thick instead of 3.5 :)

This work was made in 2006 so I had not the best skills at that time, but anyways I love this picture, probably because it was one of the first more or less photo realistic looking renders I got))))
