Started scanning matchboxes and drawing stuff for a blog post last night all to abandon it for a better idea. This is all that's left :)

Kinda saw a chicken in this. I guess it could have a future use for a spicy chicken restaurant :)
Lovely texture in the flame
@Pete Lacey - I've always felt there should be a restaurant called "Tastes Like Chicken" that serves all of the weird shit that — you guessed it — ______ ____ _______. Alligator, possum, rattlesnake, squirrel. Clearly this chain would only be sustainable in East Texas or anywhere in Alabama.
That texture is KILLER.
Even your abandoned projects look awesome.
Great texture, how'd you make it?
This is great - diggin' the idea of the scanned-in strike section of the box. Great idea!
Love the strike strip texture!
Love when you get a better idea while developing a project!
@Sergey Grigoryan: A man, a scanner, and a plan.

burn baby burn
edit: I love this
edit2: I would like this as a wallpaper, with more black space to fill the screen and not make the match too big!
Amazing Thanks @Joshua Krohn!
@Trent Walton you're on fire!
This is lovely, I'm digging the raw feeling of the texture. I love how working with real materials and bringing them into our digital canvas can turn them into something different, yet familiar.
@Jordan Moore It is proper GRITTY isn't it?
Stunning texture @Trent Walton, can't wait to read the post!
Love the texture, and the inescapable narrative quality of a lit match.
