Great work! The type treatment & photos work really well together. The jersey cutout is really well done.
Would love to see a Luke Kuechly (Panthers) one.
I have a question regarding the branding @John Mata.
What goes into the decision to make the branding of 'Jumbo' so prominent on the card? I would think it could either be much smaller, or taken off completely. Right now it says to me 'Jumbo' is a more important piece of information than the team, the players name, or the 'rookie' moniker. Does marketing push this, or is it your decision? Fan of your work, not a negative critique, just more of a question.
@Jeff Smykil Good question. In trading card design there are really 2 categories in a program. Common cards and inserts. The common cards really play up the player photo and team, in most cases. The insert cards usually contain autographs or in this case memorabilia. This particular insert is called "Jumbo" so the real focus is on the player first. and the card title second. The "jumbo" piece of memorabilia pretty much speaks for itself. Now this isn't to say that next year this card will look anything like this. Maybe next year we really play up the team more and let Jumbo be more subtle. Thanks for the question Jeff.
