An update of the Chicago Bulls' iconic mark. I originally made this years ago, but I revisited it the other day. I'm also playing around with an easy Photoshop method for displaying images in a more photographic setting.

I'm glad that you have shared this with us Andrew and I remember our talk when I was offering the Bulls logo redesign concept. Bolder lines definitely give it more power and aggression and those are maybe even too thick now. Looking good overall especially presented this way, nice job!

@Alen Type08 Pavlovic Ha. I forgot about that. I had been meaning to get this one up to snuff for a long time. I originally did it in the half shadow style like the Grizzlies' mark, but I prefer it this way as more of a linear evolution. Thanks for the feedback (from everyone).

i remember when i first saw this over in the Creamery...solid evolution. The bolder line weights really add much more depth and definition.

    How DARE you.

Everybody knows that Chicago Sports Team logos are above and beyond any form of redesign. Sacred, if you will.

    For shame. For shame....

I'm a Pistons fan, but I think the Bulls have the best NBA logo. That said, I love your updated version. Fewer and bolder lines definitely make this better. Nice work!

I'm not sure what it is about the Bulls' logo, but it doesn't translate itself to a modern update very well, IMO. Normally i'm a fan of updating old logos in a modern style, but almost every attempt I've seen at modernizing it makes it look... well, sickly. (I was going to make a mad cow joke, but that's just lazy)

My hypothesis is that the current shape of the head is too elongated/narrow to be properly menacing, especially with the bloated rectangle for the mouth. Like if you look at the Houston Texan's logo (I understand it's from a different angle and perspective) but the the thickest part of the head is the top of the skull by the horns and it stays pretty close to a true V shape as it narrows to the mouth. While it is not exactly anatomically-correct, I think it provides for a more fluid and natural feel, which helps when its being displayed in such a minimalistic way.

Wow @Andrew Harrington I've got to say that this would be a welcomed update. You've managed to modernize the mark without losing the brand. Well done.
