Few days ago, I noticed my current (old shit) website is online for almost 2 years, and wanted to make a redesign. Especially thinking to start a blog.
Last night, I could not sleep for some reason, so I opened PS, and designed this slowly in few hours while watching inspiring Rambo on tv. This is an early stage design. Icons, bg images (office image), content text is mostly likely going to change.
I wanted to share here before throwing an another design to bin. Maybe this time I will complete. What do you think?
Ps, I attached full view. I have an animation idea for small headshot photo part with different image transitions. The big 4 icons are nav (profile, works, blog, contact). Rdio is hover state, taking branding color. Different pages is gonna have different header colors.

Nice colour tones
Nice! I like the colors!
Too... much... content. I like the whitespace.
What's the clock glyph at the foot for?
@Oisin Lavery @Aziz Firat Thanks folks.
@Haziq Mir What seems too much? The clock icon is link to old website.
Really clean and minimalistic style... would like to see the works page :-)
i think it's nicely done... though still in docks...
Would love to see other tabs in action and surely the ANIMATION u mentioned!

@Andrey Maxim Thanks Andrey!
Simple clean and sweet. Looking forward to the new site!
Nice, will definitely track the progress.
Toğrağım çok şık ve temiz gözüküyor bayıldım, zaten diğeri eskimişti :)
@George Otsubo @Oleg Stirbu Thanks folks!
@Akif Selamoglu eyvallah topragim :) evet digeri feci durumda!!
I can see the Rambo inspiration with the copious amount of red :-P I think it looks great! The simplicity makes it seem very inviting, it's calm and not too in your face. I do think the size of the social icons outweighs the nav icons though, I feel like those are important especially without text accompanying them. It could be as easy as swapping the sizes with the nav being the larger of the two. Thanks for sharing cool stuff!
@Russell Schofield thanks, I hear you about sizes, however they don't look that prominent in default off state. I will give it a second look though. Btw, I love orange with or without Rambo :)
@Oykun ha you used the perfect shade! I figured the size must've just been a matter of perspective, it looks great man keep it up!
There's a typo at the bottom. "I'm interested in 'a'..."
I'm not liking that redish color, I'd try blue/purple or your fav orange instead :P Rest is great!
@Gil @Ari Thanks folks!
@Gevi Marotz Thanks mate, gonna fix it. The whole content is going to change anyway.
