I'm sad no one has commented on this yet. Don't you just hate that?
I love the top row, and while the type on the right pulls at my heart strings, I think the middle is best as it mocks something more official. It's really small, which might warrant the lack of comments.
The left is is also nice and clever, though I would like to see 'Old' and 'Town' pushed closer together to alleviate tension on the edges. It will still read as old town. Perhaps even enlarging the type to elongate the text block down the glass would help.

@Danielle Evans, thank you so much! Phew, finally someone commented on it. The client opted for a combination of the top left and bottom left. I'll hit this with the rebound once it is set in stone.
