  6. We've launched a teaser site for the refresh of our Twitter app Blaq. Gearing up for a BlackBerry 10 launch soon, and other platforms likely thereafter.

Put this site together on Friday in a rush, excuse the huge GIF and likely shoddy Wordpress development, I'm no web designer. It is responsive, though. :)

  7. We're getting closer and closer to launching our Blaq refresh for BlackBerry 10.

As you can see in this shot, we're planning to allow custom backgrounds to be used throughout the app on various screens, the profile view being one of them. Instead of letting users load their own images into the app, potentially killing the aesthetics of the app, I decided to go a different route.

We'll be setting up a background selection interface in the settings, allowing the user to choose from numerous different images to use as their background (think Wunderlist). What I'd love to do, is feature the work of amazing artists, friends, etc. and link to your respective portfolios, Dribbble profiles, whatever you like from within the app.

If you'd like to be included, shoot an email to with the word "Blaqground" in the subject, and I'll be in touch!

  8. Our Twitter app Blaq has finally launched. If you happen to use BlackBerry, and have a Z10, you can download the app from BlackBerry World now:

Real pixels and a larger view of this shot attached.

EDIT: I realize after the fact that this screenshot might look a bit funny if you don't know how the app works. I'll make a proper demo video soon, but for now, this video run-through on CrackBerry shows it off pretty well:
